Mission

The mission for the CopaVerde Plan is to help Brazil maximize the opportunity that comes with hosting the most important global sporting events in the world.  “The Plan” offers a path for the successful “green” execution of these events bringing pride to Brazilians and allowing us to show a new face of the country to the world.  Brazil can significantly improve its environmental and carbon footprint through targeted investments made over the next 6 years and it can demonstrate that Green Cities are possible and bring hope for a future Green Global Economy.  With the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building certification of all of the sporting facilities, the message will be clear, that a new age of efficiency has arrived and that it is more rewarding than we ever expected..
